Privacy Policy
The short version: our tools run in your browser, we do not ask you to create an account, and the only data we see is the ordinary traffic information every website receives plus anonymous analytics. The long version is below.
Summary
- We do not store what you translate. Text-to-Morse and Morse-to-text conversions run locally in your browser.
- No accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter. We never ask for your name or email to use the site.
- Analytics is anonymous and aggregated. We use Google Analytics (through the Site Kit plugin) to count visits and see which pages are useful.
- Our hosting and CDN keep standard server logs. IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp, used for security and troubleshooting.
- Email us and we keep the email. Only so we can reply and follow up.
Who we are
CodigoMorse.io is an independent website that publishes free Morse code tools and guides in English, Spanish and Portuguese. For anything related to this policy, write to [email protected]. We are the controller of the limited personal data described here.
What happens when you use the tools
The translator, decoder, audio player, binary converter, phonetic speller and Caesar cipher are JavaScript applications. The text you type is converted on your device and is not transmitted to our servers, logged or stored by us. Closing the tab removes it.
Two exceptions worth knowing about:
- If you open or share a link that contains your text in the address (for example a
?q=parameter), that text is part of the URL and will appear in the ordinary server logs described below, like any URL. - The audio player uses your browser's Web Audio API to generate tones locally. It does not use your microphone and does not record anything.
Data collected automatically
Server logs
Like every website, our web server records basic technical information about each request: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page (if any) and your browser's user-agent string. We use these logs to keep the site secure, diagnose errors and measure load. They are rotated routinely and are not combined with any other data to identify you.
Cloudflare
Traffic to codigomorse.io passes through Cloudflare, a content delivery and security network. Cloudflare sees the same technical data in order to block abusive traffic and serve cached pages faster. It may set a small number of security cookies; see the cookie policy. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Caching
Pages are served through the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. For visitors who are not logged in (which is everyone, since there are no public accounts) it does not identify you; it only decides which cached copy of a page to send.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, connected through Google's Site Kit plugin for WordPress, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, which device types are common and how long people stay. This helps us decide what to improve.
Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) that assign your browser a random identifier. The reports we see are aggregated; we do not see who you are, and we do not use advertising features that would build a profile of you across sites. Google processes this data as described in its privacy policy. You can stop Google Analytics in any browser with Google's opt-out add-on, or by blocking the cookies listed in our cookie policy.
When you contact us
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message. We use them only to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share your address with anyone. You can ask us to delete the correspondence at any time.
The form on our contact page does not submit anything to our servers; it opens a pre-filled message in your own email program.
What we do not collect
- No user accounts, passwords or profiles.
- No payment or billing information. Nothing on the site is for sale.
- No newsletter or marketing lists.
- No precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
- No sale or rental of personal data to third parties, ever.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies for caching, security, language preference and analytics. Each one, with its purpose and lifetime, is listed in the cookie policy, together with instructions for blocking them.
Third-party links and embeds
Our guides link to outside websites (for example the ITU, Wikipedia or amateur radio organizations). Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. We do not embed social media widgets that track you across the web.
Children
The site is suitable for all ages and some pages are written for kids, but we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or 16 where that is the local threshold). If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR or the California CCPA), you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing and to receive a copy of it. Because we hold so little, the practical answer is usually "only the emails you sent us", and we will delete them on request. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Retention and security
Server and security logs are kept only as long as needed for troubleshooting and abuse prevention and are then rotated out. Email correspondence is kept while it is relevant to an open conversation. The site is served over HTTPS, and access to the hosting account is restricted and password-protected.
Changes to this policy
If we add a feature that changes how data is handled (for instance a comment system or a newsletter), we will update this page before the feature goes live and change the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
This document was last revised on October 7, 2026. It is also available in Spanish and Portuguese; the English text governs the English edition of the site.
FAQ
Quick answers

Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts on CodigoMorse.io and we never ask for your email to use a tool.
What analytics do you use?
Google Analytics via the Site Kit plugin, in aggregated form only. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking the _ga cookies.
